Jingle Bells, Trestman Smells, Cutler Laid an Egg ... Orland Park Church Brings You a 'Very Angry Bears Fan Christmas'
Phil Guay gives voice to Chicago Bears fan frustrations in his YouTube video.
At Parkview Christian Church in Orland Park, the plight of the Chicago Bears requires divine intervention. And comic relief. That’s why church volunteer Phil Guay created “A Very Angry Bears Fan Christmas,” a YouTube video lament about the Miserables of the Midway sung to the tune of classic Christmas carols.
It’s also a promo for his church, encouraging people to attend Sunday services.

The video is copied from last year’s “An Angry Browns Fan Christmas,” spurred by 14 seasons of Cleveland Browns ineptitude and futility on the football field. (The Angry Browns Fan is angry about the Angry Bears Fan video, too, by the way.)
Posted Sunday, the video has garnered almost half-a-million views this week, picking up steam after the embarrassing debacle on Monday Night Football. On Wednesday, news broke that QB Jay Cutler would be benched in favor of backup Jimmy Clausen for Sunday’s Detroit Lions game. And it appears likely that head coach Marc Trestman will be relieved of his head-coaching duties at season’s end.

“This video could apply to any point in the season. We could have done it much earlier,” Seth Hurd, Parkview Christian Church’s communications director, told NBC Chicago. “It just really started to go viral because of [Monday’s] loss. As soon as they tanked, that’s when it really started getting shared.”
