ORLAND PARK, IL -- The golden arches will be closed for a few days after the Orland Fire Protection District put out a kitchen fire at the 159th Street McDonalds. There were no injuries. The call came in around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

When firefighters arrived, the Battalion Chief upgraded the call, bringing in units from Tinley Park to the scene. Nearby fire departments covered the Orland’s stations calls. The McDonald’s restaurant will be closed for a few days while repairs are made. Most of the fire was contained to the kitchen and mainly in the duct work.
