Lifeguards Save Boy at Centennial Park Pool

Lifeguards rescued a child in the Centennial Park Aquatic Center pool Saturday night. The boy, who’s 3 to 5 years of age, was taken to Silver Cross Medical Center by the Orland Fire Protection District. The lifeguards performed CPR on the boy, a village spokesman told the Chicago Tribune, and the boy was breathing and had a pulse when the fire department was called at 6:41 p.m. His condition Sunday is not known but Patch will update as more information is gathered.
