Light Fingered Employee Charged With Taking 65 Articles of Clothing: Prosecutor
Prosecutor said Tinley Park man stole from Orland Square J.C. Penney 20 to 30 times during three-month period.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- A Tinley Park man is accused of stealing from an Orland Park retail store. Audie Hill, 29, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on theft charges. He has no prior criminal background.
Between June 1 and Aug. 22, Hill was employed at J.C. Penney in Orland Square. According to the charges, Hill would report to work and set aside articles of men’s clothing in the stockroom. After his shift ended, he would take the clothing home. The prosecutor said Hill was captured on video stealing men’s apparel between 20 to 30 times.
On Aug. 22, Hill was arrested with 65 articles of men’s clothing, the prosecutor said. The stolen merchandise had an estimated value of $996. Court records indicated Hill may have stolen $3,510 worth of clothing.

Hill was released on an I-bond. The judge also told him to stay out of J.C. Penney. Hill’s next court day is Sept. 14 in Bridgeview.
