Man Walks Into House, Swipes Package In Home Invasion: Cops

Orland Park police investigate home invasion on Paradise Lane where a man allegedly walked into a house and swiped a package.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- Orland Park police responded to a home invasion around 9 a.m. Wednesday in the 7300 block of Paradise Lane. According to the homeowner, FedEx delivered a package address to another family member. About five minutes after the package was delivered, a man described as black or Hispanic, knocked on the door. The man said the package the homeowner just received was for him. When the homeowner told him the package was addressed to another family member, the man replied that the family member was his boss.

When the homeowner’s back was turned, the man entered the house and took the package. Police said he fled the scene in a black Hyundai that turned out to be rented. The suspect is a described as heavy set male black or Hispanic is late twenties, clean shaven and with a light complexion. He was wearing a dark bandana and a yellow construction vest.
