Cook County Sheriff's Police said that man had to be extricated from his SUV and died later at a hospital.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- A two-vehicle crash at an Orland Park intersection left a 24-year-old Midlothian man dead and three other people with non-life-threatening injuries. The accident happened on Sept. 3. The man who had to be extricated from his Jeep SUV died later at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Cook County Sheriff's Police said in news release.

At approximately 6 p.m. on Sunday, sheriff’s police responded to a serious car crash between a Jeep and a Chrysler Town and County at the intersection of 143rd Street and Harlem Avenue. According to a preliminary investigation, the 24-year-old driver of the Jeep, identified as Ronald Bobowski, was traveling westbound on 143rd Street, when police said it collided with the Chrysler, which was attempting to turn left at the intersection. After the impact, police said it appeared that the Jeep lost control and struck a traffic signal pole.

The driver of the Chrysler was a 51-year-old Alsip woman. Inside her vehicle were a 15-year-old girl and a 19-year-old woman. All three were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. Sheriff’s police said the driver of Chrysler was cited for failure to yield while turning left and no proof of valid insurance.
