My first year in 135 has been incredible and it’s hard to believe that my first year as a teacher is already over half way over! It feels like yesterday that I was walking these same halls as a student, and now, I’m encouraging and helping my students grow in the very place that shaped me.

Joining the Liberty family has been an incredible experience. I’ve felt welcomed and supported by the amazing staff and administration. Experienced teachers are always willing to share their ideas and advice. I’ve learned so much from their mentorship, and I’m always inspired by their dedication and passion.

What makes this experience even more meaningful is being back in my hometown. It’s a privilege to give back to the place that gave me so much. Seeing the teachers now as colleagues is a surreal and wonderful feeling. It’s incredibly rewarding to see familiar faces in the crowd at school and to feel that strong sense of community.

Of course, like any first year teacher, I’ve had my share of challenges. Navigating lesson planning, classroom management, and adjusting to a new environment can be challenging, but the support system has been amazing. There are always people willing to lend a hand or their advice, which I truly appreciate.

The biggest highlight of my first year of teaching has been my students. Their energy, curiosity, and unique perspectives make every day an adventure. Creating a community together, witnessing their growth, and fostering their love of learning, is what makes teaching so incredibly rewarding. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of their journey, and I’m excited to see all the amazing things they will accomplish.

I feel so fortunate to have started my teaching career in such a supportive and inspiring environment. Go Liberty Patriots!
