New Orland Park Young Adult Organization Welcomes Local Catholics

Our Lady of the Woods parish in Orland Park welcomes adults in their twenties and thirties to meet others who share their values.

Our Lady of the Woods parish in Orland Park is hosting a new organization that opens the door for suburban Catholics in their twenties and thirties to experience faith and friendship in a welcoming environment.

Drawing their title from the Latin word for joy, the Laetare Young Adults are organizing spiritual and social activities over the course of summer 2015 and beyond. Mike Callahan, Pastoral Minister at Our Lady of the Woods, reiterates the words of Pope Francis at 2013 World Youth Day, “The Church needs you, your enthusiasm, your creativity and the joy that is so characteristic of you.”

Laetare will partake in weekly bible studies, monthly adoration, and social events such as bowling, game nights, and a summer picnic. On Thursday, July 9, the group is hosting a Bible study at the parish, located on 10731 W 131st St, Orland Park, IL 60462. It will meet in room 210.
