Note-Passing Bandit Robs Orland Park Bank: COPS

An older gentleman in his early 70s robbed the Fifth Third Bank in Orland Park on Tuesday morning, police said.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- An older man reportedly robbed a bank Tuesday morning in Orland Park. The heist is being described as a non-takeover robbery. Orland Park police and FBI are investigating.

Witnesses told police the purported bandit entered the Fifth Third Bank at 15330 Harlem Ave. in Orland Park at about 10:31 a.m. Police said the man handed the teller a note demanding money. The man left the bank after the teller gave him the cash. No weapon was displayed and nobody was injured.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 60s to early 70s, between 5-feet-10-inches and 6-feet-2-inches tall, 180 pounds, with gray hair. Anyone that can assist in identifying the man is asked to contact Orland Park police at 708-349-4111.
