Officer Wounded After Gun Accidentally Discharges at Courthouse
The officer was removing a gun from a locker when it accidentally fired, according to reports.

An officer was wounded Wednesday after struck by a bullet from his own gun, after it accidentally discharged at the Bridgeview Courthouse, 10220 South 76th Ave.
An alarm malfunction forced an evacuation, and the officer was retrieving his weapon from a locker when it fired and struck him in the leg, ABC7 reports.
He was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
