The Orland Fire Protection District hosts its monthly Coffee & Conversation informal meetings this month addressing several topics including Medicare options and Survival skills for Seniors, along with an insider look at exploring the Orland Park Library.

The informational "Coffee & Conversation" program begins Wednesday, Oct. 9, starting at 10 AM at the Orland Fire Protection District headquarters at 9790 W. 151st Street in Orland Park.

The event is open to Orland Park residents.

Speakers addressing attendees include:

1 - Anna Minkina District Manager Partner Healthcare Solutions Team answering questions on Medicare Open Enrollment - Changes for 2025
2 - Sarah Kleiva, Community Engagement Manager discussing "Pages of Possibility-Exploring Orland Park Library Programs for Seniors"
3 - Senior Advisory Council Chair Kathy McElligott discussing Candle Safety
4 - Retired OFPD Lt. and EMS Educator Chris Smith on "Seasonal Survival Skills for Seniors."

"Every month we address a wide range of issues that are important to our senior community and to families," said OFPD Fire Chief Michael Schofield.

"This meeting can help seniors address and understand important issues regarding their health, services they can use and safety measures in and outside of the home."

The program is co-hosted with the OFPD by the Senior Advisory Council.
