Orland Park Bank & Trust, a branch of Old Plank Trail Community Bank, believes in community outreach on a variety of levels and recognizes needs within the community. With this mission in mind, Paul Slade, Chairman & CEO, Old Plank Trail Community Bank, and Janelle Witry, Branch Manager, Orland Park Bank & Trust, presented the Orland Township Food Pantry with a check in the amount of $1,000.00 on Friday, December 5 to Marianne Hill, Coordinator, Mary Hastings, Administrative Assistant, and Paul O’Grady, Supervisor, of Orland Township Food Pantry.

The donation will help over 300 families and up to 700 individuals receive food baskets. Orland Township is dependent upon local churches, schools, organizations, area businesses, and individuals for its food and other items. Each year, financing is raised through special fund-raising efforts, state/federal grants, and its membership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Low income families or individuals who reside in Orland Park and meet the Illinois Department of Human Services guidelines may participate in the food pantry program. Qualified clients may also receive food assistance once every 30 days with evidence of a current valid residence for each pantry visit and must sign an affidavit of their statement.
