Eva's on LaGrange offering 80-percent off designer gowns to make room for 2017 collections through Aug. 6.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- If you’re a bride or know a bride shopping for a wedding gown, Eva’s Bridals International on LaGrange has slashed the prices of hundreds of designer gowns to make way for the new fall inventory. Prices have been reduced up to 80 percent on some gowns. The warehouse sale is taking place now through Aug. 6.

“We have racks and racks of dresses starting at $199 and up,” said Nancy Ghusein, whose son, Chad, owns the salon. “Some of these dresses were originally priced from $1,000 to $7,000.”

Some of the designer gowns being offered include Allure, Casablanca, Cristiano Lucci, David Tutera, Enzoani, Maggie Sottero, Mori Lee, Nicole Spose, Rosa Clara, Sophia Tolli, Stephen Yearick, YSA Makino, Justin Alexander and Pronovias.

Ghusein said her son, Chad, and daughter, Ronia, have just come back from a European buying trip in Italy, the United Kingdom and Barcelona. Eva’s will also be offering up to 20-percent off newly arrived collections from all over the world.

“This is an amazing opportunity for a bride to save thousands of dollars and still have the gown of her dreams,” Ghusein said. “Use the savings for the honeymoon or a down payment on a house.”

Eva’s Bridals is a three-generation, family-owned business that has been around for over 50 years. The business was founded by Eva Sweis in 1964. As family members tell the story, Eva, a Jordanian immigrant and humble seamstress, showed up for work at a Chicago bridal salon only to find out that it had gone out of business. The landlord of the building asked Sweis if knew how to run a bridal shop and handed her the keys. The rest is history. In addition to the Orland Park location, the family owns and operates Eva’s Bridals in Oak Lawn.
