Orland Park Drug Sting Nabs Man for Selling Cough Syrup: Prosecutor
Police said man sold 6-ounce bottle of promethazine codeine to confidential source.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- Orland Park police arrested a man after he sold cough syrup to a confidential source during an undercover drug sting, prosecutors said.
According to the charges, Jerome Dahlberg, 19, of Oak Forest, agreed to sell a 6-ounce bottle of promethazine codeine to the confidential source on April 10. After the sale was completed, police moved to arrest Dahlberg. Police found another bottle of promethazine codeine and cannabis inside Dahlberg’s vehicle.
Dahlberg was charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor manufacturing and delivery. Dahlberg’s attorney told the judge that his client had a prescription for the cough syrup.

Dahlberg was released on a $10,000 I-bond. His next court date is May 4 in Bridgeview.
