Orland Park Introduces Interim ADA Transit Program

Disabled Orland Park residents can register for the village's interim ADA bus service that starts Jan. 2.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- The Village of Orland Park PACE Dial-A-Ride Bus Service ends December 28, 2018. Interim service will be provided by a temporary program using the village's recreation department bus.

Beginning Jan. 2, the Orland Park Public Works Department will provide bus service to disabled residents. Pre-registration is required by completing the registration form and providing one of the following forms of disabled identification:

  • ADA Paratransit Card
  • Handicapped placard or State of Illinois Disabled Persons ID

Service will begin Jan. 2, from 8 a.m. to noon on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. If a driver is not available that day, there will be no service.

Call the village's Public Works Department at 708-403-6355 to schedule rides. Public Works has an established priority system for ride requests.

  • Disabled residents requiring medical trips (including doctor appointments, physical therapy and dialysis) can schedule a pick up beginning 48 hours before the requested ride date.
  • All other trip requests for disabled residents can be scheduled beginning 24 hours before the requested ride date.
  • Same day requests will be taken dependent on availability.

Pick up and drop off must be within the limits of the Village of Orland Park. Service is not provided to and from work. The cost is $2 per one way trip ($4 round trip). Call the village's Public Works Department at (708) 403-6355 to schedule rides.
