Orland Park man is charged to selling marijuana to undercover police officers after arranging deals on Snapchat, prosecutor said.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- An Orland Park man is accused of selling marijuana to an undercover cop, prosecutors said. Bradley Ryan, 20, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on two felony charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Ryan has no prior criminal background.

The prosecutor said that on Nov. 16, Ryan was offering cannabis for sale on Snapchat. He allegedly struck up a deal with an undercover Orland Park police officer. Ryan met the officer and sold him 13.9 grams of pot for $130, according to the charges.

On Dec. 5, the prosecutor said Ryan again advertised marijuana for sale on Snapchat. Ryan allegedly set up deal with another undercover police officer. The prosecutor said Ryan sold the officer 28.3 grams of marijuana for $200.

“That’s the dumbest thing I can imagine, going on social media for all the police to see, presuming you’re innocent,” Felice said.

Ryan was released on a $20,000 I-bond. The judge also ordered random drug testing and an 8 p.m. to 7 p.m. curfew while the case is pending. Ryan’s next court date is Jan. 2, 2018 in Bridgeview.
