Orland Park PD's National Night Out Returns Aug. 4

ORLAND PARK, IL — On Tuesday, August 4, the Orland Park Police Department will join law enforcement agencies across the country and host the Village's annual National Night Out Celebration at the Orland Park Civic Center, 14700 S. Ravinia Ave.

The nationwide event held annually on the first Tuesday in August “promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer,” according to the National Association of Town Watch, the organization that founded the event in 1984.

Orland Park's National Night Out festivities will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Attendees will be able to meet members of Orland Park's Police Department as well as other first responders.

Orland Park's festivities include a DJ, plenty of food and games. Orland Park businesses will host booths with prizes, giveaways, coupons and safety-related information.
