Orland Park Police Debunk Social Media Report Of Human Trafficking Incident At Store
A woman posted about an alleged abduction and attempted abduction at a store. Police have not received any reports of the incidents.
ORLAND PARK, IL — Orland Park police on Monday took to social media to refute an alleged human trafficking incident at an Orland Park business.
Shared in Orland Park neighborhood social media groups on Sunday, a woman said there had been an abduction and an attempted abduction at a Hobby Lobby store in Orland Park, both alleged to have been part of a human trafficking operation. The woman said in the post—that has since been removed—that someone had attempted to abduct her own daughter.
Police on Monday said that no reports or calls have been made to police regarding the incident, which appears to have been fabricated.
