Police Searching for Suspect in Robbery at Orland Square Mall

A woman told police that on Monday evening, a black male took her wallet and purse out of her car—while she was in it.

Orland Park police are looking for a suspect in a robbery that took place in the parking lot of Orland Square Mall Monday evening.

A 35-year-old woman told police that she had just gotten into her car in the parking lot near the Cheesecake Factory, when a man reached through her open driver’s side door and grabbed her blue wallet and bag that were on the passenger’s seat.

The suspect—described as a black male, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9, of medium build and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt—fled the scene on foot. No weapon was displayed and the victim was not injured. Cash and credit cards were inside the wallet.
