Orland Park Public Library (OPPL) is thrilled to announce OPPLcon Fan Fest, an annual event celebrating pop culture for ALL AGES. The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 21, starting at 10 a.m. at Orland Park Public Library located at 14921 S. Ravinia Avenue, Orland Park, Illinois, 60462.

This year’s theme, "Nightmare Before OPPLcon Fan Fest," draws inspiration from the beloved Disney movie The Nightmare Before Christmas. Just as in the movie, the library will transform into different worlds, allowing patrons to explore various fandoms in a festive and immersive setting. From the enchanting realm of Disney to the thrilling adventures of Marvel, Star Wars, Mario, and Pokémon, attendees will find themselves in a pop culture wonderland.

The event has been meticulously planned by Vanessa Melody, the librarian behind this imaginative extravaganza. Melody expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “We are excited to be combining the spooky season, the beloved Disney movie Nightmare before Christmas, and our celebration of pop culture into one exciting day. The events we are looking forward to the most are our Oogie Boogie Dance Party, Teen Super Smash Bros Tournament, and Adult Pop Culture Trivia.”
