Orland Park Semi Driver Crashes Along I-80: Police
The incident tied up traffic around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

SHOREWOOD, IL - The Illinois State Police say a semi-trailer driver involved in a crash along Interstate 80 just east of Interstate 55 was under the influence of alcohol. Police were called to a wreck around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday that involved a jackknifed semi. The driver involved in the incident is John Mulica, 48, of Orland Park, authorities said.
"According to preliminary investigations, the commercial motor vehicle was traveling on I-80 westbound just east of I-55 when it lost control and jackknifed in the center median ditch," police said.
The crash caused police to shut down the lane left until 9 p.m. while the truck was being removed.

Mulica was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said. Mulica was also charged by the Illinois State Police with DUI.
