Orland Park Theatre Troupe Brings 'Pirates of Penzance' To Stage

Tickets are now on sale for Orland Park Theatre Troupe's presentation of Gilbert and Sullivan's 'Pirates of Penzance,' April 27-April 29.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- The Orland Park Theatre Troupe hits the boards with Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Pirates of Penzance.” Performances are at 7 p.m. April 27 and April 28, with an afternoon matinee at 2 p.m. April 29. The show will be staged at the Carl Sandburg High School Performing Arts Center, 13300 South La Grange Road in Orland Park.

The classic comic opera in two acts was first performed Dec. 31, 1879 in New York City. “Pirates of Penzance” follows the adventures of 21-year-old Frederic when he is released from his apprenticeship for a tender-hearted band of pirates.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors and $14 for children 12 and under. Purchase them at the Orland Park Recreation Administration Building, 14600 Ravinia Ave. or at the door.
