Orland Park Village Hall Employee Tests Positive For Coronavirus
An Orland Park Village Hall employee has tested positive for the coronavirus, officials announced Thursday afternoon.
ORLAND PARK, IL – An Orland Park Village Hall employee has tested positive for the coronavirus, officials announced Thursday afternoon.
The employee did not exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms, according to a release sent out from the Village of Orland Park. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus.
The employee, as well as other employees who were in contact with that employee, are currently self-quarantining, as per CDC guidelines.

The Village has hired a professional cleaning company to sanitize and disinfect the Village Buildings on Wednesday, according to the release.
The Village said it has provided employees in all departments with gloves, masks and hand sanitizer since March. Social distancing measures, daily temperature checks and enhanced remote meetings have also been put in place. Those employees who feel sick or display COVID-19 symptoms are told to stay home, according to the release.
