Body Found in Orland Park; Death Investigation Underway

ORLAND PARK, IL - The Orland Park Police Department is in the early stages of a death investigation.

A person was found dead Friday afternoon in the 14000 block of Sheri Lane, according to a news release.

Police were called to the area regarding a well-being check.

The identity, gender and age of the victim were not released as of 6:45 p.m. Friday.

A person in the area reported spotting two helicopters near the Heritage Estates subdivision between 5-5:25 p.m. A home on 140th Street was surrounded by crime scene tape.

Police declined to comment further.
