Orland School District 135 to Renovate Four Schools
At a cost of $750,000, renovations will prepare the schools for full-day kindergarten in 2016.

Orland School District 135 will renovate four schools in preparation for full-day kindergarten.
Last week, the board of education heard the results of a $15,000 space study and decided against building a $4 million kindergarten center at Park School on 143rd Street, reports Tim Hadac for The Regional. Instead, renovations will be made at four schools — Park, Prairie, Center and Centennial — at a projected cost of $750,000.
Full-day kindergarten is expected to start in the 2016 school year.
