Township Assessor Rich Kelly's Office Open to File for 2024 Property Tax Exemptions

Orland Park, IL - Orland Township Assessor Rich E. Kelly would like to inform residents that Cook County has opened the application process for 2024 property tax exemptions.

Orland Township residents who need assistance in filing for exemptions can come into the Township Assessor’s office Monday through Friday from 8-2:30 on a walk-in basis.
During this busy exemption process, we may need to end walk-ins prior to 2:30.

• “Senior Freeze” renewal forms will be mailed from the Cook County Assessor the middle of March to residents who had the exemption on last year’s tax bill. Please bring this form along with your 2023 income (2023 federal income tax forms or all 1099s) to our office for assistance.

• Veterans with Disabilities renewal forms will be mailed from the Cook County Assessor the middle of March to residents who had that exemption on last year’s tax bill. Please bring this form along with your current Disability Certification Letter from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, dated no earlier than 2024.


• New applications for Homeowner, Senior, Senior Freeze, Disability, and Veterans with Disabilities exemptions will be submitted online by us for you.
