Orland Township Assessor Opens Application Process For 2025 Property Tax Exemptions

The application process is open as of Monday, March 9.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Orland Township Assessor Antonio Rubino has announced that the application process for 2025 property tax exemptions is open as of March 9.

Orland Township residents who need assistance filing for Homeowner, Senior, Senior Freeze, Disability, and Veterans Exemptions may visit the Township Assessor’s Office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on a walk-in basis. During high-volume periods, walk-in service may close early to accommodate residents who are already signed in.

Senior Freeze renewal forms will be mailed by the Cook County Assessor in mid-March to residents who received the exemption on last year’s tax bill. Residents seeking assistance should bring:

  • Their Senior Freeze renewal form, AND
  • Their 2024 income documentation (2024 federal income tax return or all 1099 forms).

Veterans with Disabilities renewal forms will also be mailed by the Cook County Assessor in mid-March to residents who received the exemption on last year’s tax bill. Residents seeking assistance should bring:

  • Their Veterans with Disabilities renewal form, and
  • Their current Disability Certification Letter from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (dated 2025 or 2026).

Property tax exemptions can provide meaningful savings, especially for seniors, veterans, and long-time homeowners. I encourage residents to come in, ask questions, and make sure they’re receiving every benefit available to them.”
