Orland Township to Host Attorney General Fraud Prevention Seminar

Members of the public are encouraged to attend and learn about a variety of topics that help protect from consumer fraud.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady will help connect residents with valuable consumer fraud-prevention resources by co-hosting the Illinois Attorney General’s office with State Representative Frances Hurley and State Senator Bill Cunningham at Orland Township, located at 14807 S. Ravinia Ave. in Orland Park, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17.

“We have an opportunity to educate the public so that we can lessen the financial losses and personal anguish that comes with being a victim of these crimes,” said O’Grady. “This seminar will teach everybody how to detect these situations, avoid them, and how to appropriately report cases of fraud to the attorney general’s office.”

From 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, members of the public are encouraged to attend and learn about a variety of topics that help protect yourself from consumer fraud, including telecommunications scams and identity theft. Light refreshments will be served. Reserve your spot by calling Orland Township at (708) 403-4222.
