Orland Township Mourns the Loss of Robin Kassis, Food Pantry Director

During her 11 years of service, Robin's unwavering will and passion were reflected in the programs and services she led.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Orland Township is deeply saddened and devastated by the loss of Robin Kassis, Food & Pet Pantry Coordinator.

"Where there is a will, there is a way." is a phrase that will always reflect Robin's personality and mentality. She was a passionate and hardworking woman who dedicated every day to providing for her community.

During her 11 years of service, Robin's unwavering will and passion were reflected in the programs and services she led, including the Food Pantry, Holiday Programs, Pet-Palooza, food drives, and daily assistance offered at Orland Township. Her tireless efforts provided nourishment, guidance, and support to members and families in the community, demonstrating her wholehearted dedication to her work. On her sickest days, she would still coordinate to ensure she wouldn't let anyone or the Food Pantry down. Amid it all, Robin always made time to be there for her four children, Taylor, Alexandra, Jonathan, and Leah, as a mother.

Robin's legacy of selflessness and determination will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her dedication and commitment to serving the community have left a permanent mark on the hearts and lives of countless individuals.

Services for Robin will be held on Wednesday, August 28, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a prayer service scheduled for 7 p.m. at Lawn Funeral Home, 17909 S. 94th Ave., Tinley Park, IL 60487.

As the Orland Township community grieves this profound loss, Robin's family is asked to be kept in the thoughts and prayers of all those who were touched by her kindness and generosity.

To honor Robin's legacy, consider donating non-perishable food items to the Orland Township Food & Pet Pantry and attend Pet-Palooza on Saturday, September 21.

Pet-Palooza, Orland Township's largest annual event supporting the Orland Township Food Pantry, has been ran by Kassis since 2016.
