Orland Township’s Senior American Idol: Tickets on Sale Now

ORLAND PARK, IL — Join Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady and the Board of Trustees for an evening of dinner, dancing, and live entertainment as 12 seniors compete for the title of 2023 Orland Township Senior American Idol!

After three rounds of singing their favorite songs, one of the 12 dazzling contestants of this year’s competition will take home the trophy and title of 2023 Orland Township Senior American Idol.

Local celebrity judges, including the beloved musician Blake Alexander, will have a hand in deciding which of the extraordinarily talented contests make it to the final round. Orland Township will also welcome back former Senior American Idol winner Laura Alberts to judge the night, after she took home the trophy in 2016.

Scores are determined by a combination of points from the judges, audience vote and ballot box totals. Each contestant will also have their own ballot box, in which audience members are encouraged to fill the boxes of their favorite singer with money. Funds are donated to the Orland Township Scholarship Foundation, which the event directly supports.

The competition will take place on Thursday, April 27 at Georgios Banquets, 8800 W. 159th St., Orland Park. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. with the singing competition following dinner. Tickets are $30 and include a plated dinner and cash bar. Tickets will not be sold at the door, and must be purchased in advance at Orland Township, 14807 S. Ravinia, Orland Park.

“We promise a very entertaining evening, with twelve exceptional singing seniors performing at this year’s competition.” said Supervisor O’Grady. “I invite everyone to attend and witness some of our not-so-hidden local talent, and to help their favorite singer advance to the final round to be named this year’s Orland Township Senior American Idol!”
