StarGuard Elite audits evaluate aquatic facilities in several key areas, including lifeguard observations, staff skills and emergency response scenarios, facility operations, safety equipment, documentation and overall facility management, the Village said. "A rating like this does not happen by accident,” said Recreation and Parks Director Ray Piattoni. “It is the result of consistent training, strong supervision and a staff that understands the importance of being prepared every day. Our lifeguards, supervisors and aquatics leadership team deserve a lot of credit for this achievement."
Facility operations and management also received a 5-star rating. The audit found the facility appeared free of slip and fall hazards, with life jackets and rescue equipment in good condition. Safety signage and guest messaging were prominently displayed, and staff consistently performed hourly safety inspections.
CPAC welcomes residents and visitors each summer and offers a variety of aquatic amenities, programs and events. The Village remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, training and guest service throughout the season.
