Orland's 'Every Bloomin' Thing' Closes

An Orland Park favorite that began with a Christmas tree lot with 400 evergreen trees and grew into a thriving garden center and gift store, has now ended.

Bob and Linda Buikema’s ‘Every Bloomin’ Thing’ opened in November 1985 at 7648 W. 159th St., and has now closed for business.

The owners left a touching parting message on their Facebook page.

“Thank you again to all of you for supporting our small, family business,” according to the post. ”Please, continue to shop ’small.’ Small business is the foundation on which our wonderful country was built!
God bless each and every one of you!”
