Palos Hills Man Pleads Guilty To Felony Gun Charges
He sold eight weapons to a confidential informant during the course of the investigation.

A Palos Hills man indicted on seven counts of federal gun charges pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court.
Steven Riley, 24, sold firearms to a confidential informant for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives from October 2014 to February 2015, reported the Chicago Tribune.
He sold the informant four rifles, three shotguns and a revolver, according to a Department of Justice press release. Two other firearms, semi-automatic pistols, and 1,872 rounds of ammunition were also seized from his residence. In total the guns sold for $3,600 reported the Tribune.

The serial numbers on the weapons Riley sold to the informant were destroyed. During the investigation Riley was recorded saying the serial numbers were removed so the firearms could not be traced.
Riley was arrested in March of 2015 and was indicted two months later in May, according to the Department of Justice.

U.S. District Court Judge Virginia Kendall is set to sentence Riley April 14.
