Pedestrian Struck by Car on Ravinia Avenue

A 31-year-old Orland Park woman suffered minor injuries Monday when she was struck by a car while crossing Ravinia Avenue.
The driver of a 2003 Dodge was making a lefthand turn on to Ravinia Avenue from 144th Place around 7:40 a.m. when she hit the pedestrian, who was in the crosswalk at the time, said Orland Park Police Commander John Keating.
The driver—a 30-year-old Orland Park woman—was issued a citation for failure to yield to pedestrian in a crosswalk. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Keating said.
