Pot, Pills, 'Shrooms Found In Orland Park Drug Sting: Police
Palos Hills man had assortment of amphetamines, cannabis and mushrooms in controlled drug buy, cops said.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- Undercover cops found cannabis, pills and mushrooms in a Palos Hills man’s car after he sold an Orland Park police officer a quarter pound of pot during a drug sting, police said in a news release. Mohammed Khattab, 24, was charged with unlawful delivery of cannabis, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Khattab is currently free on an I-bond.
According to the charges, a drug investigation that began in Orland Park that led police to Palos Hills, where police said there was a man was selling cannabis to people in the southwest suburbs. Police initiated a controlled buy with Khattab in the late afternoon of March 9. Khattab drove to the meeting point in the area of College Drive and Ridgeland Avenue. After Khattab allegedly sold a quarter pound of cannabis to an undercover cop, he was placed under arrest.
A search of Khattab’s vehicle recovered more cannabis, approximately 8 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 70 assorted amphetamine pills (Adderall), a scale and packing materials, police said. During the arrest police also seized cash along with Khattab’s vehicle.
