Pot, THC Cartridges, Found In Blue Island Man's Car: Police
"You wouldn't do well in the penitentiary," judge tells 18-year-old charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.

ORLAND PARK -- An 18-year-old man was arrested in a traffic stop after Orland Park police found a large quantity of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his car, prosecutors said. Erik Castaneda, of Blue Island, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on felony charge of possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.
Castaneda was pulled over for an alleged traffic violation around 7:51 p.m. July 25, in the 14400 block of John Humphrey Drive. The prosecutor said Castaneda could be seen by officers tossing what turned out to be blunt from his car window. Police said they found 80.4 grams of cannabis and a scale in Castaneda’s vehicle, along with 14 THC cartridges, sandwich bags and several smaller plastic bags stamped with a marijuana leaf. Also found was $232 in cash, the prosecutor said.
The assistant public defender told the judge that Castaneda graduated from Eisenhower High School in Blue Island and works at a grocery store. This is his first arrest.
