Escort, Pals Help Themselves to TV After Price Dispute with Customer

An Orland Park man called for an escort from Backpage.com, but he wasn't expecting buddies, too.

An Internet prostitution customer got more than he bargained for Dec. 4, when the escort he ordered from Backpage.com helped two pals bust into his apartment and the trio stole his TV, police said.

Police were called to the man’s apartment in the 15300 block of Treetop Drive around 10 p.m. after a 911 call reporting that three people broke into the apartment, assaulted him and stole his TV. The trio—all male—came to the apartment after the tenant called for an escort, later learned to be Adareo Lowry, 26, of Chicago.

After Lowry and the victim reportedly bickered over money, Lowry opened the door for his associates, Julian Fields and Bishop Nance, both 22, of Chicago. The victim fled the apartment and called 911.

The three were seen fleeing the apartment carrying the television and hopping into a 2005 black minivan driven by a fourth person, later identified as Jacob Adejola.

Patrol officers in the area curbed the van near 153rd and LaGrange Road, and found a cell phone, keys, and a 50-inch TV, all belonging to the victim.

Fields, Lowry, and Nance each were charged with one count of residential burglary, a Class 1 felony. They were issued $250,000 D Bonds, and will next appear in court Dec. 31.

Adejola, the driver, bonded out on a charge of driving while license revoked. He was not charged with residential burglary.
