Real Estate Developer Pleads Guilty To Criminal Sexual Assault
Accused in 2017 of sexually assaulting a woman as she slept, Gregory Perkins, 49, enters guilty plea for criminal sexual assault.

ORLAND PARK, IL — An Orland Park man accused of assaulting a woman as she slept in 2017 pleaded guilty to criminal sexual assault. Gregory Perkins, 49, appeared Monday before Cook County Judge John Gallagher, where sentencing was set for next month.
The night of Jan. 28, 2017, Perkins and the woman were part of a group of friends going out for an evening of dinner, drinks and fun, according to testimony during his bond hearing. The woman claimed she had become incapacitated after a few drinks. Perkins drove her to home to Orland Park in his truck to Orland Park, prosecutors said. Perkins’ wife and his former sister-in-law were also in the vehicle.
When they arrived at the residence, the woman said she had passed out. She was carried into the house, where prosecutors said she was laid out on a sofa. Prosecutors alleged Perkins removed his pants and had intercourse with the woman against her will.
