Is This Really What Illinois Does Best?

Illinois seems to have a tough time staying off the numerous “worst of lists” that continually knock the state for its wide range of issues.

An infographic originally published on 1BOG.org ranks each state based on what it does best. While Wisconsin gets praise for its wonderful cheese, Tennessee for its horses and Vermont for its smarts, Illinois is deemed best in the nation for, well, you’ll see.

And as for some good news, the Civic Federation gave its nod of approval to the proposed Cook County budget for fiscal year 2015. Here’s what the state’s top fiscal watchdog supports, as well as what it’s concerned about, according to its analysis of the budget.
