Remodeled Walmart Supercenter Celebrates Grand Reopening Friday
The newly remodeled Walmart Supercenter in Orland Hills celebrates its grand reopening Friday, Aug. 10.

ORLAND HILLS, IL – Walmart is celebrating the grand re-opening of the remodeled Orland Hills Supercenter with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, Aug. 10, at 8 a.m. The Orland Hills Walmart is one of 16 stores slated for a remodel throughout the state in 2018.
With the remodel, customers will enjoy the following store improvements:
- Transformed front-end of the Supercenter, including a featured online order pick-up area—a convenient, quick way for customers to shop
- State-of-the-art electronics department with interactive displays
- Revitalized apparel department, including updated fitting rooms
- New tool department with fresh look and added variety of tools available
- Wider aisles and lower fixtures for improved store flow, better line of sight and easier navigation
“We’re always looking for ways to make our customers’ lives easier,” Orland Hills store manager Jonathan Bradley said in a news release. “We’re excited for everyone to come see how our new and improved shopping experience will give time back to our customers.”

As part of the celebration, the Orland Hills Supercenter will present check donations to eight local organizations in support of their important work in the community: Teen Bridge Center, Orland Hills Police Department, Foundation for Education SD 135, Disabled Patriot Fund, Orland Park Baseball, South Suburban Special Recreation Association, Heroin Epidemic Relief Organization (HERO) and Gigi's Playhouse.
In April, Walmart announced it expects to spend an estimated $56 million in Illinois over the next year through the remodeling of 16 stores, as well as the rollout of several in-store and online innovations designed to help busy customers save time and money.
