Residential Burglary Suspect Nabbed After Orland Park Police Investigation

Corey Durr is accused of breaking into homes in several Chicago suburbs including Orland Park.

ORLAND PARK, IL - Police in Orland Park helped track down a Chicago man who is suspected of committing residential burglaries in several suburbs.

Police in the village began an investigation after responding to a reported residential burglary in the 7800 block of 157th Street just after noon on Jan. 24. The homeowner, who was upstairs at the time she said a man entered her home, told police the suspect fled in a white Nissan Maxima.

The car was located in the 3100 block of S. Green Street in Chicago during the investigation, where police began a surveillance operation and were eventually led to the suspect, Corey Durr.

Durr, 35, of the same Chicago block where the vehicle was found, was charged on Jan. 31 with residential burglary in connection to the Orland Park incident and soon later charged with similar offenses in Wilmette and Burbank. Police say Durr was arrested while committing a residential burglary in near west suburban Berwyn.
