Romeoville Woman Accused of Stealing $335 In Cosmetics from Orland Square Store
Assistant public defender tells judge woman is focusing on drug treatment as part of probation for past retail theft offense.

Bail was set at $150,000 for a Romeoville woman accused of heisting $335 of facial masks and cosmetics from an Orland Square Mall store.
Dana Durrenberger, 32, appeared in the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing on Wednesday in front of Judge Peter Felice.
Prosecutors said that Durrenberger carried an empty Forever 21 bag and proceeded to “shop” at Sephora in Orland Square Mall, Orland Park, around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Durrenberger was observed by loss prevention agents walking around the store allegedly filling the bag with merchandise.
She waited for customers to clear out of an area before making her final selection, prosecutors said.

During the court hearing, prosecutors told the judge that Durrenberger was already on probation for another retail theft. Prior to that, she had three other retail theft arrests.
“So this is her fifth,” Felice asked.
The assistant public defender stated that Durrenberger has lived in Romeoville for three months, and before that, was in a drug treatment program.
“She’s not working, she said she wants to focus on her drug treatment,” the assistant public defender said.
Durrenberger has had “clean drops” as a condition of her probation. She also had some family members in court on Wednesday, the assistant public defender said.
Unmoved, Felice set bail at $150,000. Her next court date is June 10.
