
Orland Park, IL - The Highway Department resurfacing road program, under the direction of commissioner Antonio Rubino, weather permitting, is set to begin the week of Monday, June 3, 2024. The Highway department will be resurfacing the roads in the Orland Trails subdivision.
Orland Trails resident, Tom Mulcahy is excited for the project to begin. Mulcahey stated “being a 35 year resident, I am happy to see we have a highway commissioner who cares. After 35 years Orland trails is finally getting their roads resurfaced, thank you commissioner Antonio Rubino.”
Gallager Asphalt was the lowest bidder and therefore was awarded the contract.

The work hours will be from 7 AM until 6 PM. Streets will remain open for the entirety of this project. No parking signs will be posted and maintained throughout construction.
“The Highway Department was stagnant before I took office in 2021. Being innovative, fiscally responsible and working with our stakeholders while keeping the tax levy flat is good government,” said Commissioner Antonio Rubino.

All construction activities associated with this project are subsequently planned to be completed by July 15, 2024.
