Coat Drive For Together We Cope Runs Through End Of Fall

Elected officials in Tinley Park are behind the effort to benefit Together We Cope.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Elected officials in Tinley Park are organizing a fall coat drive that will benefit the Together We Cope social services organization in the village. Donations of coats, hats, gloves, scarves and winter boots will be accepted at seven locations in Tinley Park and Orland Park from Oct. 26 until Dec. 21.

The drive is in its first year and organized by Tinley Park Trustee Mike Glotz and Clerk Kristin Thirion.

"No one deserves to be left out in the cold this winter," Glotz said. "Please help out our fellow residents and families in need by donating today."

Donations will be accepted at the following businesses until Dec. 21:

  • Together We Cope, 17010 S. Oak Park Ave.
  • The Primal Cut Steakhouse, 17344 S. Oak Park Ave.
  • Joe Rizza Ford, 8100 W. 159th St.
  • 7-Eleven at 171st St. & Oak Park Ave.
  • Orland Toyota, 8505 W. 159th St.
  • Bettenhausen Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Ram, 8355 W. 159th St.
  • Bettenhausen Orland Park, 15941 S. 94th Ave.

Gently used donations are accepted.

Bettenhausen has graciously offered to deliver all the clothing to Together We Cope in one of their vans, Glotz said.
