Sandburg celebrated its homecoming throughout the night, but Lincoln-Way East came ready to dance, getting a 28-7 win over the Eagles.

In a battle of unbeatens, Lincoln-Way East moved to 5-0 (3-0 in the Southwest Suburban Blue Conference) while Sandburg dropped to 4-1 (2-1).

Next up for Sandburg is a visit to Joliet Central at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29. Lincoln-Way East prepares for a huge showdown with fellow undefeated contender Bolingbrook. Those teams play at 7:30 Friday at Lincoln-Way East.
