Members of the Carl Sandburg High School varsity Debate Team recently competed at the State Debate Tournament at Illinois State University and several students advanced to the quarter-finals, while others placed among the top 10 in several categories.

Debate sponsor Kris Kwak said, “I am so proud of this team and all they have accomplished this season. All the trophies and medals earned at this year's JV and Varsity tournaments were hard fought. These debaters consistently put in the work to stay competitive and foster a positive community.
