Sandburg DECA students qualify for State

DECA State competition was held Thursday through Saturday at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare. Fourteen Sandburg students qualified to compete at State after Regional Competition. Students competed in various business fields, completing a 100 question test in 60 minutes in either Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Entrepreneurship, or Hospitality and Tourism.

Next, students complete 2 Role Plays where they are given a scenario and have 15 minutes to solve the problem by incorporating all the Performance Indicators listed to the judge in 10 minutes. Judges are business people who devote their entire day evaluating the students and completing written feedback to the students.
