Carl Sandburg Model United Nations took a business trip to New Brunswick for the club’s first time attending Rutgers Model United Nations conference.
"We prefer to call it as such, because the team simply got business done in the first flight conference since March 2020," said coach Adam Osmanski.
Delegates spent over 20 hours in committee strenuously debating, collaborating, and adapting to East Coast styles of MUN. With a theme of Enduring Issues, Today, Sandburg delegates were encouraged to consider past solutions to ongoing world problems, discussing future prevention and management. With topics ranging from Indigenous labor rights to a 1993 UN committee, Sandburg fought hard in sessions to pull out a win, bringing home Best Medium Delegation.
