Sandburg’s Robotics Team Tops Off Season With Best-Ever Finish
Eagle Army finishes competitive season in the playoffs as an Alliance Captain
Congratulations to Carl Sandburg High School’s Robotics Team 3488 Eagle Army closed out their season with their highest qualifying finish ever. Team 3488 competed at the FIRST Robotics Central Illinois Regional Competition and ended the qualification matches in 8th place, which secured an automatic spot as an alliance captain at the regional competition. Ultimately, the playoff selection landed Team 3488 as Alliance Captain #5 - the team's highest alliance captain finish yet!
Hundreds of students participated in the competition and have been preparing since the beginning of the year. Teams of three raced against the clock to see how many PVC pipes their robot could place on posts in the center of the ring. These students are being hailed as the future engineers of the country.
