Sandburg students receive top honors at French language competition

Bring home awards in Readers Theater and Poetry Recitation

Two Sandburg High School Honors French 4 students participated in the Champions d'expression competition which is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French / Chicago chapter.

Held at Elmhurst College, 15 schools from across the Chicagoland area participated with over 100 judged entries in 5 different areas: poetry recitation, persuasive speech, impromptu skits, readers theater and theatrical performance. Senior Sarah Khoury and sophomore Hunter Morris received the highest recognition - Champion bleu in the readers' theater division. Sarah also received Champion bleu recognition for poetry recitation.
